1980 Charvel Pre-Pro Bass Birdseye Maple Natural
1980 Charvel Pre-Pro Bass Birdseye Maple Natural
This is a 1980 Charvel Pre-Production era bass built of solid birdseye maple for the body and neck with a rosewood fretboard. It has some issues structurally and electronically and is being sold in as-is vintage condition for the next owner to decide the route to take. There's a twist in the neck causing dead notes from the 12th fret up, as well as a crack in the fretboard from the nut to the first fret that moves as tension is put on the truss rod. Electronics-wise, one of the shafts on the split-shaft pot has broken off and the original knob is missing. Issues aside - it's a very rare Charvel bass from the early days of the company in need of restoration and once it's ready to rock again, it'll be an awesome instrument.
